Taxonomy of Distant Habitats

It is helpful to categorize, so we can focus our attention on issues that are of interest to us. We have developed 5 categories shown below. Each post will be identified by one or two categories or labels. By distant we mean distant in time, place, history or imagination. The primary types of habitats are as follows:

1 Familiar people in historical environments. (Historical)

2 Familiar people in unfamiliar environments. (Exploration, Space)

3 Unfamiliar people in familiar environments. (Alien Encounter)

4 Unfamiliar people in unfamiliar environments. (Fiction, Exploration, Space)
